Institute & Alumni Engagement

At IvyCap, we believe that the journey of a founder or a cutting edge technology often begins on campus — in dorm rooms, research labs, classrooms, and even during conversations in the corridors with professors and peers. These are the spaces where raw ideas take shape, and innovation is born. As an alumni-driven ecosystem, we leverage the Global network to help young founders learn and grow through masterclasses, workshops, networking events, corporate connects, funding etc. We have built partnerships with over 40 leading institutes across India. From incubation centres to faculty collaborations, we work closely to nurture innovation at its source.

How We Engage

Engagement Process

  1. Connect with corporates to enable industry-driven research.
  2. Network with alumni to encourage giving back.
  3. Enable collaborations to support building, testing, and commercialising innovations.
  4. Provide real work experience through industry internships and projects.
  5. Get access to funding for research, innovation, and entrepreneurship.

Engagements

Endowment Fund

One of the unique features of IvyCap fund is its Endowment Initiative. IvyCap Ventures allocates a portion of its profits from its startup investments to the alma maters of its investors. This approach aims to provide support specifically to student and alumni entrepreneurs within these institutes. IvyCap has already given back around INR 2 Crores to 10 Indian educational institutions from its Fund 1 profit. Also, in 2019, IvyCap Ventures established India's first Endowment fund at IIT Delhi, pioneering the way for sustainable initiatives and addressing the shortage of endowment funds in Indian educational institutions compared to global counterparts.
